When looking at a farm venue, many people often think it is slated for a certain style of wedding. We, at The Carriage House, find ourselves being hosts to all sorts of weddings from small “farmhouse” style weddings with inspiration from Magnolia to larger formal affairs. Our venue provides a clean backdrop where you can make your vision come to life.
Sunset at The Carriage House is simply breathtaking. Since I live close by, I sometimes will take a few minutes in the evening to sit on the back porch and take in the sunset. It’s like the Lord paints a picture over the holler with the brightest oranges and pinks in the sky. It’s spectacular! The westward facing back porch is lined with a glass wall where you can even benefit from the sky’s striking colors from inside the venue. I also enjoy the beautiful green grass and rolling pastureland through the holler. The holler is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of our lives.
During our first year taking over the venue, we listened to brides and were able to put together more options for ceremony sites.
Everyone has to have a rain plan or you may even just want to have a covered ceremony to take away the unpredictable challenges of weather. For those couples, I have several ideas to help you think through the possibilities.
As you can see there are many options for a ceremony site. This versatility allows you to create the wedding of your dreams here at The Carriage House. Your event will look unlike any wedding before yours. You can decorate as much or as little as you like to help your vision come to life. I love brainstorming these ideas with our brides.
In addition to the multiple ceremony sites, we also have some decor on hand to make some of those locations special. We’ve shown you the church pews that received a makeover exposing the beautiful wooden pews in all their glory.
We also have five arbors, three of those are mobile. Our brides have been so creative in the use of these arbors. The same arbor with different decor can create such a different setting which goes back to our versatility. I get so excited to see each unique event come together to beautifully represent the couple.
This shows how beautiful one of our newest hexagon arbors looks with floral accents. The lush greenery with the red flowers brought warmth to the space. Other couples have dressed this arbor in considerably less flowers. Doing that sets the tone for the arbor to be more about the shape and the stained wood. This arbor moves which allows for it to be used again during the reception. It would be gorgeous behind the sweetheart table!
